Thrice Interview: OTHERBOUND

Hi! Today we’re celebrating Corinne Duyvis’s debut, OTHERBOUND. First – I wanted to mention that the awesome Jenni Cooke is giving away international copies of BORN WICKED & STAR CURSED over at her blog Live to Read, Love to Read this month because she is awesome. Thank you, Jenni! Also, in case you missed it, because I was out of town and not online much, I interviewed Kate Ormand about DARK DAYS last week, so you should also check that out! Before we start — why are they called Thrice interviews? The original titles for the Cahill Witch Chronicles were THRICE BLESSED, THRICE CURSED, and THRICE FATED. I have a tattoo with the word thrice, which is partly to remind me how joyful writing that first book was, back when it was just mine, and partly because I like threes. Cate Cahill is the oldest of three sisters, as am I. My...

Thrice Interview: DARK DAYS

Hi! Today we’re celebrating Kate Ormand’s release DARK DAYS, which came out June 3. My birthday is May 3; my anniversary is Sept 30. So there’s a natural theme to these interview questions… They say: The future world has been divided into sectors–each the same as the other. Surrounded by thick steel fences, there is no way in and no way out. Yet a cyborg army penetrates each sector, picking off its citizens one by one, until no one is left....

Giveaway: SISTERS’ FATE + DARK METROPOLIS

Eep! We are officially less than 3 months away from the release of SISTERS’ FATE and I can’t wait to share the story with you! Today I’m giving away a signed ARC, along with a signed (and doodled-in, because she’s an amazing artist) ARC of DARK METROPOLIS by my friend Jackie Dolamore! Sixteen-year-old Thea Holder’s mother is cursed with a spell that’s driving her mad, and whenever they touch, Thea is chilled by the magic, too. With no one else to contribute, Thea must make a living for both of them in a sinister city, where danger lurks and greed rules. Thea spends her nights waitressing at the decadent Telephone Club attending to the glitzy clientele. But when her best friend, Nan, vanishes, Thea is compelled to find her. She meets Freddy, a young, magnetic patron at the club, and he agrees to help her uncover the city’s secrets-even while...

And if not – check back here next week, because I’ll be giving away a signed ARC of SISTERS’ FATE! Today we’re celebrating Yvonne Ventresca’s debut, PANDEMIC! My birthday is May 3; my anniversary is Sept 30. So there’s a natural theme to these interview questions… They say: Even under...

Thrice Interview + Giveaway: WISH YOU WERE ITALIAN

Hi!  Today we’re celebrating Kristin Rae’s debut, WISH YOU WERE ITALIAN! My birthday is May 3; my anniversary is Sept 30. So there’s a natural theme to these interview questions… They say: The summer before senior year of high school. It’s supposed to be one of the biggest summers of her life, but Pippa is headed to an art program she has no interest in. The one saving grace is it’s in Italy. And when the opportunity strikes, she decides...
