Signing Tomorrow

Hi! Tomorrow I’m doing a signing that I’m super-excited about:

ONE MORE PAGE PANEL & SIGNING

featuring me + 5 authors whose books I love

Miranda Kenneally (CATCHING JORDAN, STEALING PARKER)

Jennifer Rush (ALTERED)

Tiffany Schmidt (SEND ME A SIGN)

Victoria Schwab (THE ARCHIVED, THE NEAR WITCH)

moderated by Diana Peterfreund (FOR DARKNESS SHOWS THE STARS)

4pm at One More Page in Arlington, VA

I can’t wait! And then Breathless Reads kicks off in 2 weeks!

I’m a little over 1/3 of the way done with the draft of Cahill Book 3, and I’m hoping to write a TON in the next two weeks so I get to 2/3 done before tour! It’s due mid-March. Four months does not feel like a very long time to write a rough draft, but revising is my favorite part anyway. Drafting is glorious when it goes well but so hard. The first draft is so far from what I want it to be; I have a difficult time differentiating sometimes between this is wrong and this is not perfect.

I’m also teaching at Writopia now, leading writing workshops one afternoon a week with 8-11 year old girls. They are so creative — really fabulous young writers. I also judged a bunch of Scholastic writing entries last week, which was special to me because those awards were some of my earliest writing validation as a teen.

Hope you all have an awesome weekend! It’s snowing here in DC and even though we’re only supposed to get perhaps an inch, everyone is freaking out. Other than my signing tomorrow, I’m basically planning to curl up with my tea and fingerless gloves and write write write!

  1. Enjoy your snow! We’ve had so much of it here over the past few weeks, I will gladly pass it along to you. It caused no end of travel problems. But still, at least it’s pretty to look at!

    1. Arg, I'm regretting all my snow love now because there's a big blizzard headed for Boston – up to 2 feet of snow! – and I'm supposed to fly up there to start my tour on Saturday!
