Thrice Interview: ELECTED

Hi!  Today we’re celebrating Rori Shay’s debut, ELECTED! Before we start — why are they called Thrice interviews? The original titles for the Cahill Witch Chronicles were THRICE BLESSED, THRICE CURSED, and THRICE FATED. I have a tattoo with the word thrice, which is partly to remind me how joyful writing that first book was, back when it was just mine, and partly because I like threes. Cate Cahill is the oldest of three sisters, as am I. My birthday is May 3; my anniversary is Sept 30. So there’s a natural theme to these interview questions… They say: It’s the year 2185, and in two weeks, Aloy will turn eighteen and take her father’s place as president of the country. But to do so, she must masquerade as a boy to avoid violating the Eco-Accords, four treaties designed to bring the world back from the brink of environmental extinction....

Thrice Interview + Giveaway: THE CHANCE YOU WON’T RETURN

Hi!  Today we’re celebrating Annie Cardi’s debut, THE CHANCE YOU WON’T RETURN. So there’s a natural theme to these interview questions… They say: When your mom thinks she’s Amelia Earhart, navigating high school, first love, and family secrets is like flying solo without a map. Driver’s ed and a first crush should be what Alex Winchester is stressed out about in high school — and she is. But what’s really...

Thrice Interview & Giveaway: DAUGHTER OF CHAOS

Hi!  Today we’re celebrating Jen McConnel’s YA debut, DAUGHTER OF CHAOS! So there’s a natural theme to these interview questions… They say: There comes a time in every witch’s life when she must choose her path. Darlena’s friends have already chosen, so why is it so hard for her to make up her mind? Now, Darlena is out of time. Under pressure from Hecate, the Queen of all witches, Darlena...
