Thrice Interview + Giveaway: WISH YOU WERE ITALIAN
Hi! Today we’re celebrating Kristin Rae’s debut, WISH YOU WERE ITALIAN!
Before we start — why are they called Thrice interviews? The original titles for the Cahill Witch Chronicles were THRICE BLESSED, THRICE CURSED, and THRICE FATED. I have a tattoo with the word thrice, which is partly to remind me how joyful writing that first book was, back when it was just mine, and partly because I like threes. Cate Cahill is the oldest of three sisters, as am I. My birthday is May 3; my anniversary is Sept 30. So there’s a natural theme to these interview questions…
They say: The summer before senior year of high school. It’s supposed to be one of the biggest summers of her life, but Pippa is headed to an art program she has no interest in. The one saving grace is it’s in Italy. And when the opportunity strikes, she decides to ditch the program and travel Italy accomplishing her own list of goals. Things like swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, eating a whole pizza in one sitting…and falling in love with an Italian boy!
As she explores the famous cities of Rome and Pompeii, Pippa finds herself falling for two boys: a local guy she knows is nothing but trouble and a cute American archaeology student who keeps disappearing and reappearing at the strangest moments. Will Pippa find her true love before her parents find out the truth about her summer program?
I say: This sounds so fun and summery and wonderful! I can’t wait to read it!

Like Kristin, I love Italy plus pizza, pasta, and chocolate, too! People tend to think I'm Italian. I'm not, but I wish I were Italian (in part). I can't wait to read the book!
Hooray! I love pizza, pasta, and chocolate too. Who doesn't?!
I love gerbera daisies too!
They're the best! They were the centerpieces at my wedding!
I would love to visit Italy.
I went to Italy in high school on a Latin trip and it was so beautiful – I'd love to go back someday!
I'd love to visit France or Greece.
I've been to France, but I'd love to go to Greece – my mom & little sister went on a cruise there once and their pics were gorgeous!
I'd love to go to Ireland! Thanks for the giveaway, this book sounds adorable.
Me too! I hear it's beautiful!
