Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant to Get To But Didn’t

top ten tuesday

Eep, I made this Top Ten Tuesday list the other day & then forgot to hit “post” on Tuesday…or Wednesay…or Thursday…Scatterbrained author is extra scatterbrained this week!

This list is easy because I read so little least year. Most of my reading was contemporary YA because that was what I was working on with WILD SWANS, and I was trying to get a feel for the pacing and character development in contemporary novels. I’m super excited to read more fantasy, historical, and magical realism again in 2016!

Um, where did my copy of WALK ON EARTH A STRANGER go?

  1. Ohhh, yaay, I actually managed to read some of these! (one of them about a few hundred times, but you know how that goes….. 😉 ) I really enjoyed The Winner’s Crime and The Wrath & the Dawn in particular.

The Winner’s Curse was my favorite book of 2014 but I’m sort of holding out to read TWCrime closer to TWKiss because I suspect the wait will be BRUTAL. I’ve heard wonderful things about it though. And I can’t wait to read Dreamstrider, of course!

  2. I didn’t get to THE ROCE SOCIETY or ILLUMINAE either, but I *definitely* plan on fixing that this year. I’ve heard incredible, incredible things about both of them. And of course I adored THE YOUNG ELITES, so I’m super super excited to see where Marie Lu takes the story in the sequel. 🙂 THE WRATH AND THE DAWN was AMAZING. I seriously devoured it in a couple of hours. <3333 🙂

  3. I started reading last year again, the first time in almost 20 years! Grown-up life hasn’t been kind but I am back on track with 2 books done already for 2016! I have never read any of these but I will sure be looking out for these. Thanks for sharing them.
