Thrice Interview: INFINITE SKY

Hi! Happy Valentine’s Day, readers! I am a big fan of celebrating all the people in your life that you love – romantically or otherwise. I am also a big fan of sweets and the color pink and getting fun mail, so I am in favor of this holiday. I sent cutesy Disney valentines to my best friends and hid a few for The Playwright around the house before I left for tour, and (shhh) I’m planning to give some to the other Breathless Reads girls tomorrow too…And in my heart of hearts, all my readers are my valentines too! Xoxoxo! Anyway – today we’re also celebrating the release of C.J. Flood’s INFINITE SKY. They say: A truly beautiful book about the summer that changed one girl’s life, as her mum leaves home, travellers set up camp in the family’s field, her older brother goes off the rails, and she falls in...

UK Blog Tour – Week 1

Hi! Even if you can’t make it to one of the Breathless Reads tour stops, you can follow along with my UK blog tour and gets lots of behind-the-scenes info on BORN WICKED and my writing process! Here’s where I’ve been this week: Narratively Speaking shares the first chapter and is giving away THREE copies of BORN WICKED Bookaholics and friends talk covers – debating the US hardcover vs the UK cover (very similar to the US paperback) Book Passion for Life gives BORN WICKED 4/5 violets (I think they’re violets? Cate would totally know!) in her review and shares a Q&A with me Fiction Fascination asks me to describe my main characters, so I give 3 adjectives + a noun for Cate, Maura, Tess, Finn, Paul, Mr. Cahill, Mrs. Corbett, Brother Ishida, Elena, Sachi, Rory, and Brenna (I am kind of obsessed with this game) Stepping Out of the Page shares 5 songs from...

Breathless Reads Updates!

The Breathless Reads tour kicks off next week and I’m so excited! I’ll be on the East Coast leg, featuring: Fiona Paul (VENOM) Beth Revis (SHADES OF EARTH) Morgan Rhodes (pen name for Michelle Rowen) (FALLING KINGDOMS) Elizabeth Richards (BLACK CITY) Jess Spotswood (BORN WICKED) Lili Peloquin (THE INNOCENTS) (NYC only) There have been a couple of venue/time changes. Most notably, the Boston stop at Wellesley books on Sunday has been cancelled due to the Snowpocalypse. I’m sorry to miss out on Boston – it’s one of my favorite cities! – but it seems like travel would have been impossible. If you pre-ordered books, though, never fear – it sounds like the bookstore & Penguin are going to try to get them to us for signing. This is our updated schedule: Mon, Feb 11: Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill, NC at 7pm Tues, Feb 12: Fiction Addiction in Greenville, SC at 6:30pm Wed, Feb...
