I’m currently working on a new project that I’m super excited about, and I’m hoping to have more news to share soon. In the meantime, the best place to find and connect with me online is Instagram.

BORN WICKED Release Contest

MY BOOK COMES OUT TOMORROW. *runs in circles* I dorkily preordered a copy from Amazon and it has shipped! I am so excited! A few more links: I wrote a guest post about being a big sister, and sisterly love and competition, at author Stephanie Burgis’s blog. And an interview with Jen at Hypable, including why it was important for me to tell this story. And an interview with the Lucky 13ers, including my favorite superstition. Thank you to everyone who has tweeted or Facebooked or taken the time to write a review. And thank you to all the wonderful bloggers who’ve asked me for interviews, too! I am so grateful for your support. However, I won’t be accepting any more interview requests until the beginning of March, after the Breathless Reads tour. I hope that makes sense – I’m dividing my time between touring, writing the sequel, and release...

Link Round Up

Hi! OMG, FOUR MORE DAYS! Today I’m trying to finish a chapter for the sequel, and do a few more guest posts, and catch up on the last few episodes of ONCE and REVENGE while I write some thank-you notes. I had a small meltdown earlier about finding pens that would write on glossy postcards, which was solved with the patient help of The Playwright. I’m excited and nervous and overwhelmed and did I mention excited? I am also all over the internets this week: An interview with Ellen Oh at the Enchanted Inkpot, in which I reveal the original ending for BORN WICKED and discuss whether I consider it a romance about a witch or a story about three sisters. An interview with Kate at Ex Libris Kate, in which I discuss my literary and real-life heroines. An interview and giveaway with Anna at Peace Love Teen Fiction, in...

Thrice Interview Series: INCARNATE

Hi! Today we’re celebrating the release of Jodi Meadows’ INCARNATE, which debuted yesterday! I got to read this one early, too, and it’s a lovely fantasy with dragons and kissing and a sexy masquerade ball. And look how gorgeous the cover is. I can’t wait to have one on my shelf! New soul Ana is new. For thousands of years in Range, a million souls have been reincarnated over and over, keeping their memories and experiences from previous lifetimes. When Ana was born, another soul vanished, and no one knows why. No soul Even Ana’s own mother thinks she’s a nosoul, an omen of worse things to come, and has kept her away from society. To escape her seclusion and learn whether she’ll be reincarnated, Ana travels to the city of Heart, but its citizens are afraid of what her presence means. When dragons and sylph attack the city, is...

Thrice Interview Series: ARTICLE 5

Hi! Happy book birthday to Kristen Simmons and ARTICLE 5! I read it early, thanks to the Apocalypsies ARC tour, and loved it. My review: This is a gripping, unputdownable dystopian about a world governed by morality police and increasingly strict morality statutes. The action is full of twists and turns, but it never sacrifices character for plot. I loved the romance between fierce, determined Em and strong, broody Chase, and I’m already eager for the sequel.  The synopsis: New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., have been abandoned. The Bill of Rights has been revoked, and replaced with the Moral Statutes. There are no more police—instead, there are soldiers. There are no more fines for bad behavior—instead, there are arrests, trials, and maybe worse. People who get arrested usually don’t come back. Seventeen-year-old Ember Miller is old enough to remember that things weren’t always this way. Living with her rebellious single mother, it’s hard...

Finished Copies

While I was away last week on my bookseller tour (more about that soon!), guess what arrived at my house? (If you guessed 20 super-shiny finished copies of BORN WICKED, you’re right!) The Playwright and I had this idea to build a fort out of them and put Monkey in it. Because we are huge dorks. Unfortunately, Monkey did not really want to sit nicely inside the fort and pose for a picture. Even with treats inside, he kept jumping back out. He’s a stubborn little thing. And here they are stacked on my bookshelves! I’ll probably move some of them up to my office, but at the moment I was concerned with making sure they were off the floor, where Monkey couldn’t vomit on them or anything. (There was a close call earlier.) And my fabulous Uncle Mike & Aunt Eileen sent me an early present — a BORN...
